Foundation was established in 1999 and registered in 2002 in Yerevan. It is founded in memory of famous Armenian violinist, music scholar and professor Anahit Tsitsikian to continue her works and fulfill her dreams.
The mission of the foundation is to facilitate the promotion of Armenian music by supporting musicians in their professional education and work, setting up and implementing cultural programs and events and activating the integration of Armenian music into the international music society.

to encourage and support the development of contemporary music in Armenia
to facilitate the recognition of Armenian music abroad
to foster international co-operation
to support partnership between the Diaspora and the music society of Armenia
to discover and conquer new frontiers in contemporary art
to creates one cultural space for performing arts

 

Archiving: A collection of material brought from different countries has been organized & computerized. It includes rare photos, manuscripts, handwritten musical scores, posters, letters, diaries and other personnel documents of more than 93 Armenian musicians. The database has also been included in the international information bank on the internet.


Publicizing: Archived materials are disseminated through lectures, TV and radio programs, articles, books and CDs.

Researching: The Foundation is organizing various seminars, conferences, exhibitions, presentations, talk-shows and workshops on modern music, its styles and new directions.


Supporting: In order to encourage young musicians in their education and growth the foundation granted a stipend in honor of Anahit Tsitsikian to the best female violinist-student of the year:


Developing new technologies: The foundation has established a Computer Center for Musicians of Armenia to help the artists to be aware of world information on culture and to use modern technologies for their professional work.
Educating: Highly qualified and experienced teachers from other countries have been invited to Yerevan conservatory to conduct training courses and master classes for young musicians in computer knowledge, foreign languages, and art management methodologies.


Charitable activity:
The foundation supports regional schools of art by providing them with musical instruments, musical scores, books, play stations; it also organized concerts, recitals at nursing and retirement homes.
